Tamer Mokhtar
Founder & Director
As a partner at Investing in US, Tamer and team utilize a venture capital model in examining hundreds of organizations to determine which are mission-aligned and capable of bringing about scaled impact in the areas of technology integration into voter mobilization efforts, digital media/messaging, and turnout. In 2018, Tamer founded All Americans Vote, which focuses on non-partisan efforts to engage America’s electorate by elevating turnout among young and diverse voters. Prior to his work with Investing in US and All Americans Vote, Tamer spent two decades in direct marketing, sales management, corporate sales, and executive leadership at both nonprofit and for-profit entities, most recently The Advisory Board Company and The Education Advisory Board (EAB).

Dmitri Mehlhorn

Dmitri Mehlhorn is the co-founder of Investing in US, which helps deploy capital to blunt the erosion of American democracy. Previously, he was an early stage investor in data startups; the President of a division of Bloomberg LP; managing director of Gerson Lehrman Group; attorney at O’Melveny & Myers; and consultant with McKinsey & Company. In the social sector, he was the co-founder of StudentsFirst; the co-founder of Hope Street Group; a senior fellow with the Progressive Policy Institute and with Johns Hopkins; an advisor to Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti; and a writer for publications such as The Atlantic and The Daily Beast. He has degrees in politics, public policy, and law from Stanford, Harvard, and Yale respectively.

Kathryn Harrison

Kathryn Harrison is founder and CEO of the DeepTrust Alliance, a non-profit building the solutions and ecosystem to tackle deepfakes and disinformation. Prior to founding the DeepTrust Alliance, Kathryn spent nearly a decade at IBM. She most recently served as Director of Global Product Management for IBM Blockchain Platform, where she was responsible for developing and delivering IBM’s open source contributions to Hyperledger as well as its blockchain software products. Kathryn began her career in financial services at Gerson Lehrman Group in New York and Hong Kong. As a founding member of GLG Asia, she first led legal, political and regulatory research and then business development for the firm’s clients in Asia.
